2021 T20 World Cup will be held in India only

The International Cricket Council (ICC) took an important decision on the host of the T20 World Cup in the core meeting held on Friday. Under this, the T20 World Cup to be held in 2021 will be held in India, while the T20 World Cup postponed due to the coronavirus this year will be held in Australia in 2022.

The decision was taken on a virtual platform during the board meeting by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia (CA). Although the ICC was preparing to host the 2021 World Cup to Australia, as the preparations for the World Cup were almost there, but from

India, it was said that we have got the hosting of the T20 World Cup, We would like to go accordingly because we have here in 2023. There is a one-year World Cup, so there should be a difference of two years. With this, broadcasters also agreed with India that there should not be a World Cup for two consecutive years in a country.

In such a situation, Australia had to step back and agreed to host 2022. However, the ICC wanted the 2021 World Cup to be held in Australia as preparations were made there.
