Airtel will provide 4G service on 2G spectrum

To provide better network facilities to customers, telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has decided to use 4G technology on the 900 MHz band. This process will be adopted in 10 telecom circles, where the company has this band available.

The 900 MHz band is used for the 2G service. The use of 4G technology on this band will ensure a better network indoor or outdoor. According to the information, the use of 4G technology in the 900 MHz band is being done in Delhi, Kolkata, Andhra Pradesh, Northeast, Karnataka, and Rajasthan. The company plans to do the same in other circles.

A senior official said that the company has already stopped 3G services across the country and converted them to 4G. Reforming 2G to 4G will provide a 4G experience on this network. The process is expected to be completed in four months.
