India did naval maneuvers with Singapore and Thailand in Andaman Sea

Nine armies of India, Singapore, and Thailand conducted maneuvers in the Andaman Sea. The two-day 'Sitmex-20' tripartite exercise began on Saturday.

It aims to develop coordination, cooperation and partnership between the three friendly countries to strengthen regional maritime security. This maneuver remained confined to the sea in the wake of the Corona epidemic.

Ministry of Defense on Sunday said that in the second edition of 'Sitmex-20', the Indian Navy participated in the indigenous anti-submarine Corvette (a small warship) Kamorata and missile Corvette Karmuk. The first edition of Sitmex was held in Port Blair in September last year, organized by the Indian Navy. The second edition was conducted by the Singapore Navy.

The officials said that these maneuvers were conducted between the Indian Navy, the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) for mutual better cooperation and development of interoperability.
