Multi-specialty healthcare provider Manipal Hospitals has launched its first healthcare chain, Columbia Asia! Has made a binding agreement for the acquisition of Hospitals. According to sources aware of the case, the deal is worth Rs 2,100 crore.
Manipal Hospitals on Monday said it intends to acquire a 100 percent stake in Columbia Asia Hospitals Limited (Columbia Asia). According to Manipal, this acquisition will help him expand his reach nationally. The acquisition deal will still require some regulatory approvals. Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) Chairman Ranjan Pai said that very high-quality health services.

Acquisition of Colombia Asia both units collectively have 27 hospitals in 15 cities. The beds in these hospitals will be 7,300, with a total staff of over 10,000. The total number of doctors in the hospitals of these two units will be more than 4,000. The statement said that over 40 lakh patients will be treated in these hospitals on an annual basis.
It will join the nation's largest healthcare provider network. Columbia Asia Hospitals started in 2005 in Hebbal, Bengaluru. Currently, it has 11 hospitals across the country including Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Kolkata. Columbia Pacific Management Chairman Dan Batty said that the alliance between Columbia Asia and Manipal was natural.
