The domestic stock market continues to grow. On Friday, the BSE 30-share Sensex gained 552.90 points. With this, the Sensex reached the level of 41,893.06.
It is very close to the highest level of the SENSEX. The Sensex closed at the peak of 41,952.63 on January 14. The NSE Nifty also closed with a gain of 143.25 points at 12,263.55. This week the Sensex gained 2,278.99 points and the Nifty gained 621.15 points on the back of a continuous rise in five sessions. Reliance Industries and HDFC shares contributed to the rise in domestic stock markets.
Good signals from global markets also boosted investor confidence. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer in the Sensex pack with a 3.78 percent increase.
Apart from this, shares of Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, HDFC and Kotak Bank also recorded good gains. Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, Ultratech Cement and Nestle India were the major losers. BSE Midcap and Smallcap saw a rise of 0.54 percent.
