Carmaker Skoda Auto Volkswagen India will be prosecuted for a cheat device. The Supreme Court refused to quash the FIR lodged against the company in Uttar Pradesh's Noida. Company in Noida alleging a customer used a cheat device in a Volkswagen diesel car.

A consumer filed a case against the company on July 10 this year in Noida. It stated that he had purchased seven Audi cars from the company's authorized dealer. The company had given a certificate that none of its vehicles in India had a cheat device. But Indian authorities found that the vehicle has high emissions.
