Chinese spacecraft brought 1,731 grams of sample from the moon

China's spacecraft 'Chang probe' has brought 1,731 grams of the sample from the lunar surface. The Chinese space agency gave this information on Saturday. The spacecraft successfully returned to Earth on Wednesday.

According to the Chinese space agency China National Space Administration (CNSA), samples brought from the lunar surface have been handed over to research teams. Scientists will research and analyze samples.

China has collected samples from the lunar surface for the first time. The Chang E-5 Probe landed in Mongolia Autonomous Region late Wednesday. The vehicle reached the lunar surface on December 1. 

The Vehicle E-5 collected samples by piercing about two meters into the lunar surface. Such an attempt was made for the first time in nearly 45 years. The Chang E-5 is the third Chinese vehicle to reach the lunar surface.
