Asha worker dead, colleagues blamed Covid-19 vaccine

An ASHA worker died on Sunday in a government hospital in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Her colleagues have alleged that she died after being vaccinated with Covid-19. Guntur district collector Samuel Anand said that the real cause of the Asha worker's death would be known only after the postmortem report. 
 
Also, he said that in the last eight days 10,099 health workers vaccination has been done, in which not a single case of adverse effects has been reported. After the death of an ASHA worker at Government General Hospital (GGS), other ASHA workers staged a protest in front of the hospital and demanded compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the victim's family. 
 
On the other hand, the District Magistrate said that he proposed to give compensation to the state government for the family of 7 (ASHA workers) on the lines of compensation for the death of a worker of Covid-19's Nagi Morcha, besides giving a job to a family and providing a house. Also promised to give clause for The 44-year-old Asha worker complained of headache and fever on January 22, three days after being vaccinated with the coronavirus.
