Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal passed away at 80

Famous bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal died in a Delhi hospital on Friday. He was seriously ill for the last several months and was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Sarita Vihar, Delhi. According to the hospital administration, he breathed his last at 12:30 pm on Friday.

80-year-old Narendra Chanchal was admitted to Apollo Hospital on November 27. There was a problem with blood clots in the brain. Earlier he was admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital but later admitted to Apollo. He used to live in the Malviya Nagar, Delhi with his wife Namrata, daughter Kapila, sons Bobby and Appu.

The Funeral will be done at noon at the crematorium in Lodhi Colony on Saturday. Narendra Chanchal was born in Amritsar, Punjab. He received the rites of bhajan from his mother Kailashvati. From childhood, he used to sing along with his mother in religious programs held in the area. This chant made him Bhajan Emperor.

He transported Jagratte from Gurunagri to the country and abroad. Famous film actor and director Raj Kapoor gave him a chance to sing in the film Babi. After that he tried to sing songs in many films, but in the meantime, his voice was lost for some time.
