There is good news for those who have decided to open a new factory after the lockdown. Now they do not need to give as many documents as before nor will the MCD officials investigate the application of license. The license will be approved along with the application. License timelines have also been changed.
The license will be issued within 30 days instead of 45 days. According to the officials of the factory licensing department of South and North MCD, the Ministry of Commodities and Industries had ordered the Delhi government to make the factory licensing process easier. On this, the Chief Secretary of the Delhi Government had sought suggestions from the three MCDs and asked them to formulate a policy of simplification.
The MCD has passed a proposal for the licensing process, eliminating the need for multiple documents. Those who applied for a license were required to give 6 documents first, but they would have to give three to four documents only.
In which copy of Ownership (if the factory is hired), Fire NOC, copy of Certificate of Pollution will have to be given. If anyone applies for a factory license, it will be approved on the same day. However, a copy of the final license will be available in 30 days. Earlier, copies of licenses were given to people in 45 days.
