Farmers have made vigorous preparations for the tractor parade to be held in Delhi on 26 January on Republic Day, and the entire outline of the parade is being prepared after marking the paths of the parade. To keep the parade peaceful, a special uniformed volunteer around three thousand is planned to be deployed.
Tractors joining the parade will run in two or three lines and one line will be left vacant for emergency services. During this time, around 20 ambulances and teams of doctors will also accompany the parade. Each tractor will have a tricolor and folk music and patriotic songs will be played.
A member of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a joint front of protesting farmers' unions, said the parade is likely to begin at five border points of Delhi — Singh, Tikri, Ghazipur, Palwal, and Shahjahanpur — where farmers from November 28 last year Are camping. He said the tractor parade would begin after the end of the official Republic Day parade at Rajpath and would cover a distance of more than 100 km before ending around 6 pm.
