Republic Day will be celebrated this time without foreign guests

This time Republic Day will be held without any foreign state guests. For the first time in the last five decades, the Republic Day parade will be held without any chief guest. In fact, India had earlier invited British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a state guest and he had agreed to come.

But then at the last minute, Johnson had to cancel his trip to India due to the rising outbreak of new strains of the Corona epidemic in Britain. Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava has informed that this time there will be no foreign guests on Republic Day. Even the head of the government will not be the chief guest.

This decision has been made because of Corona. The appearance of the Republic Day parade has also been limited compared to normal years. The NDA government has always called prominent leaders on the occasion of Republic Day and tried to give a special diplomatic message.
