The country's most valuable company and Asia's largest Dhankuber Mukesh Ambani-controlled Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has performed better than expected in the third quarter of the current financial year.
The company said that in the third quarter (October-December 2020) of the current financial year, it posted a net profit of Rs 13,101 crore, up 12.6 percent. The company's retail and telecom businesses also made significant gains in the quarter under review.
The petrochemicals business also recovered well during this period. Retail and telecom businesses accounted for about 56 percent of the company's total revenue during the period under review. By the way, RIL's revenue fell to Rs 1.24 lakh crore in the third quarter of the current financial year.
