Sonu Sood gets shock from High Court, petition filed on BMC dismissed

A petition filed by actor Sonu Sood in the High Court to stop the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) action against his hotel has been dismissed. Now Sonu will have to go to the BMC shelter again to get relief and Mumbai Police can also take action on him.

This decision of the High Court is being considered a big setback for Sonu Sood. Justice Prithviraj Chavan of the High Court on Thursday dismissed Sood's plea, saying that to get relief, you have to go to BMC. Explain that BMC had sent a notice to Sonu Sood against the conversion of Shakti Sagar, a six-story residential building located in the Juhu area of Mumbai.

Sonu had earlier approached the lower court seeking relief from the BMC action. He went to the High Court after his petition was dismissed there. His lawyer Amogh Singh said in court that his client had not made any such change in the building. For this, the permission of BMC is required. Only valid changes have been made to the building under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning (MRTP) Act.
