Two women of Indian origin got important responsibility in UN

Sohini Chatterjee and Aditi Gorur, two Indian-American women, have been assigned important administrative responsibilities for the American mission to the United Nations (UN). 
Chatterjee will be the Senior Policy Advisor to the US Ambassador to the United Nations while Gorur has been appointed as the Policy Advisor for the US Mission in the UN. A well versed in global issues, Chatterjee has taught International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. 
Prior to this, she has also been a Policy Advisor at the US Agency for International Development (USAID). During an interview in November, last Chatterjee had said that India and the United States would establish good relations at the UN Council. Chatterjee supported the strategic dialogue with India. Talking of Gorur, he is aware of the peacekeeping mission run by the United Nations. She also works to prevent violence against civilians.
