Mahindra recalls 1,577 units of Thar to replace faulty engine

Mahindra & Mahindra making Utility Vehicles, a leading auto company, said on Thursday that it is recalling 1577 units of its SUV Thar. All these vehicles are of diesel powertrain variant. One of his engine parts is expected to have flaws in the camshaft. They were constructed from September 7 to December 25 last year. 
In a briefing to the stock exchanges, Mahindra said that the machine setting at its supplier's plant was found to be flawed. This is expected to cause flaws in some engine camshafts. The company said that with a commitment to quality and total vigilance, it has moved towards a solution before problems arise. 
Customers of vehicles that have been recalled and messages related to this are being sent personally. It is noteworthy that auto companies conduct quality checks of their vehicles at regular intervals. If any defect is found in it, then all those vehicles having construction period or drawback. Recalls are made on the basis of the records of the parts which are expected to have such flaws. Not every vehicle that is recalled will have that defect. But whatever problem is found, the company resolves it for free.
