Olympic opportunities end for Indian gymnast

Indian gymnasts, including Deepa Karmakar, lost their hopes of qualifying for the Tokyo Games as the two World Cups were canceled. Three World Cups were to be held in Doha, Baku and Kotbus in February-March, but the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) was forced to cancel two competitions and postpone one due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Deepa's coach Bishweshwar Nandi is waiting for a clear picture and he hopes the world body will announce new dates for the tournaments. Nandi said that some World Cup qualifiers have been canceled. Maybe the FIG will announce new dates. The World Cup may be considered in April or May. It depends on the circumstances and the decision of the FIG.
