After April, wifi systems will start being installed in trains. Railway administration has provided free WiFi facilities to the passengers to run the internet at high speed at most stations across the country, but trains do not yet have internet facilities.

In the budget presented in February, a provision of Rs 55 crore has been made to install WiFi in 50 Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto Express across the country.
A budget of Rs 27 crore has also been allocated in the first phase. It will be spent before March 31, 2022, to install WiFi. Railways have handed over its work to RailTel, which will start from April 1. Chief Public Relations Officer Deepak Kumar told that passengers in trains in the capital, Shatabdi, Duronto, will start getting a WiFi facility soon.
