Later Sri Lankan senior minister and government spokesperson Kehlia Rambukwela said that the decision to ban the burqa will be taken after deliberations and consensus. The government will not make a hasty decision to ban the burqa.
The decision on this will be made after gathering all the information and keeping national security in mind. The government was criticized by Pakistan Ambassador Saad Khatak after the Sri Lankan government's decision to ban the burqa in the country.
