Corona reached Everest, first case found

Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in the world. This dangerous virus has also reached Mount Everest. The first case of corona infection has been found in the base camp of this world's highest peak. Whereas during the last 24 hours, more than eight lakh 80 thousand new infections were found worldwide. During this, more than 13 and a half thousand victims died. 

 Norwegian climber Aland Ness, who was found infected at Everest's base camp, was flown to Kathmandu by helicopter, where he was admitted to a hospital. Ness said in a tweet on Friday that he was found positive on April 15. The test was again done on Thursday, which came negative. An Australian climber warned that the virus could spread to hundreds of climbers who climb Everest. Therefore, large-scale testing is needed at the base camp. 

While Director of the Mountaineering Department of Nepal, Meera Acharya said that she is not aware of any corona case. Nepal has allowed 377 foreign climbers to climb this year. While 3,117 newly infected and five patients died in this Himalayan country during the last 24 hours.
