India a big partner in the fight against climate change: Kerry

US President Joe Biden's special envoy for climate issues, said Wednesday that India is a major partner on the global stage in the fight against climate change. Kerry said that the decisive steps New Delhi will take will now determine what this change will mean for generations to come. 

 She said that the promotion of gender equality and women's leadership is important not only for economic growth and sustainable development but also to deal with the crisis of climate change. He also directed the Digital Asia of South Asia Women in Energy (SAWIE). Commenting on Indo-US relations and mutual coordination in the context of tackling climate change in the program, said that India is a big partner on the global stage.

 The SAW IE Indo-US Strategic Partnership Platform (USISPF) is a joint initiative of the US International Development Agency (USAID). Its first Leadership Summit was held in an online format. In this conference, several senior government officials, business leaders, and experts from India, the US, and South Asia discussed the role of gender equality in intensifying environmental sustainability efforts and fighting the climate crisis.
