The situation of religious freedom in Pakistan is deteriorating rapidly. The government is strongly oppressing the minorities through the God Condemnation Act and the Anti-Ahmadiyya Act. The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has cited these serious conditions in detail in its annual report. The commission has recommended banning convicted Pakistani officials and confiscating their assets.
The report said that the government of Pakistan is working against the minorities in a planned manner. In this, the blasphemy law is being used as a weapon. The government is unsuccessful in protecting the country's minorities from foreign terrorists. Cases of targeted homicide have increased. The cases of forced conversions are increasing. Hate crimes have also intensified.
