Housing loan major HDFC Ltd on Friday told the stock exchanges that its consolidated net profit rose 31 per cent to Rs 5,669 crore in the January-March 2021 quarter. The company achieved a net profit of Rs 4,342 crore in the same period a year ago.
The consolidated income of the company increased to Rs 35,754 crore in the period under review from Rs 16,632 crore in the same period of FY 2019-20. According to the company, its interest income fell to Rs 10,879 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 11,391 crore in the same period a year ago. Company life The premium and other operating income from the insurance business increased to Rs 14,635 crore from Rs 11,530 crore in the year-ago period.
However, HDFC's net profit for the entire financial year declined to Rs 20,488 crore from Rs 22,826 crore a year ago. HDFC's consolidated revenue grew to Rs 1,39,071 crore during FY 2020-21. In the previous financial year, the company's total income was Rs 1,01,796 crore.
