Facebook needs positive regulatory framework

Facebook head of India Ajit Mohan has said that there is a need for a 'foresighted and positive regulatory framework' for Internet companies and this organization needs to be more transparent about the use of customer data. He said that Internet penetration in India had grown very fast and this increased penetration led to the development of a completely new model, which no other country could do in such a short time.

In 'Raisina Dialogue' Ajit Mohan said, 'We firmly believe that the Internet needs new rules, not only in India but around the world. We worked for a very long time for lack of sufficient clarity and this is the moment when we, especially democratic society, should think. I hope we can create a far-sighted and positive regulatory framework. Facebook India Vice President and Managing Director Mohan said that there are certain areas on which the regulator can focus.
