Pakistan may appoint the South African pacer Morne Morkel as bowling coach

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) can make former South African fast bowler Morne Morkel the bowling coach. PCB is likely to appoint former African wicketkeeper-batsman Andrew Puttick as the batting coach. The PCB has also 'agreed' to bring in Mickey Arthur as a consultant while Arthur is the head coach of Derbyshire. Team physiotherapist Cliff Deacon and strength and conditioning coach Dricks Simon will remain in office. Four of the six coaching staff will join the team ahead of the home white-ball series against New Zealand, starting April 14. Five T20s and five ODIs will be played in this series. Pakistan won the Champions Trophy in 2017 under Arthur's coaching.
